2nd meeting of its National Policy Board On 14th December 2011, Venue: Meeting room of Council of Minister

 

Based on given mandate, the National AIDS Authority has organized its second Policy Board (PB) Meeting on 14th December 2011 at Council of Minister Meetingroom. It was the second and the last d meeting of the National AIDS Authority Policy Board of the year 2011. The meeting was under the leadership of H.E Dr.Nuth Sokhom, Senior Minister and the chair of the National AIDS Authority with participation “120 participants” representing all Government Ministries/ Agencies who are members of the NAA Policy Board. Purpose of the PB meeting is to enhance the coordination and implementation of the multi-sectoral national strategic response to HIV/AIDS in Cambodia via examinationoutputs of 2011 key activities/intervention and making recommendation for year 2012.

The specific of the 14th December 2011 meeting is to:

· Discuss on drafting guideline for a successful implementation of the UN Commitment on three zeros strategy

· Discussion and adoption of the HIV/AIDS Cambodia response progress made of 2011 second and make decision for 2012 key intervention and activities.

· Discussion and adoption on draft HIV/AIDS policy at workplaces

· Discussion and adoption on IEC material production and educational dissemination on HIV/AIDS. Throughout PB meeting discussion session, outputs of the meeting were concluded below:

1. Decided to keep existing leading and coordinating structure and make necessary justification on implementation mechanism to strengthen
effectiveness of HIV/AIDS national response as guided by UN Political Commitment

2. Make further commitment signing Memorandum of Understanding between PAC/MAC and HIV/AIDS development partners by first quarter
2012.

3. To send every year progress report and Annual Operational Plan to NAA by 30th September by relevant stakeholders

4. To provide by relevant stakeholder the registered information on high

5. Agreed to request to the top leader of the Royal Government of Cambodia for a common package of HIV/AIDS budget for the subnational
HIV/AIDS efforts for year 2013.

6. Agreed to strengthen responsibility of the sub-national level for HIV/AIDS response based on D&D policy especially the multi-sectoral mechanism at Ministries/provinces Districts/Communes and Sangkats.

7. Adopted HIV/AIDS workplaces Policy for official dissemination and implementation by stakeholders

8. Adopted policy on HIV/AIDS IEC material production and educational dissemination for implementation.
